Chafardeando en la cocina

Como ya veía oscilar la espada de Damocles sobre mi cabeza, he decidido poner remedio a tan imperdonable error…

Logroño es, como lo diría yo… genial para una tragaldabas como yo!

Preparé la visita a conciencia visitando muchas páginas turísticas de Logroño pero he de reconocer que la información más útil de todas fue la que obtuve de la “Guía de la Senda de los Elefantes” donde se detallan, por calles, los diversos bares que componen tan insigne ruta y cuales son sus especialidades… Os la recomiendo si vais a visitar Logroño: es absolutamente indispensable.

Fuimos a comer a algún que otro restaurante pero me quedo, sin lugar a dudas, con la calle del Laurel… Tapas, tapas y más tapas a un precio irrisorio acompañadas de unos maravillosos caldos de la tierra.

Probamos unos cuantos y todos insuperables… aunque he de reconocer que tuve un flechazo: los “matrimonios” que son ricos mini-bocatitas de anchoa en aceite o boquerón en vinagre con pimiento verde frito que sirven en varios bares de la zona.

Cuando salimos de la calle, entendí lo de la senda de los elefantes: no salimos trompas pero poco nos falto, ya que con cada deliciosa tapa, caía un crianza que sabía a gloria…

Hasta mi vuelta a Logroño, me conformo con intentar preparar “matrimonios” en casa. No es lo mismo pero a falta de pan buenas son tortas…

Those who read me assiduously know that I was in Logroño a few days ago … and I’ve not had the decency or Christian decorum to write a post about it.
As I saw swinging the sword of Damocles over my head, I’ve decided to remedy such unforgivable mistake…

Logroño is, how can I explain?… cool for a great foodie like me!
I prepared very well the visit reading many tourist Webs of Logroño but I must admit that the most useful of all was the Web where you can download the “Guide of the Elephants’s Pathway” (sorry but it isn’t available the pdf in English, it’s only in Turism office) where it’s detailed the what bars do you have to visit in every street and what are their specialities … I recommend this Guide if you are gonna to visit Logroño: It’s absolutely essential.

We went to eat to some restaurants but I stress, without a doubt, the Laurel street… Tapas, tapas and more tapas whit a derisory price accompanied by some wonderful wines of the land.

We ate in some places and all of them was insurmountable… although I must admit that I fell in love whit "marriages". They’re a very tasty “mini-bocatitas” filled whit an anchovy in oil or anchovy in vinegar with fried green pepper. They are serving in several bars in the area.

When we exited of the street, I understood the real meaning of “The Elephants’s Pathway”: We weren’t drunken but we were very “happy” because with every tapa that we ate, we drank a “crinza” whit a glory taste……

Until I can return to Logroño, I trying to prepare "marriages" at home. It’s not the same but in the absence of bread goods are cakes (That’s a tipical sentence that we usedin Spain that means that when you don’t have some thing, you conform with something similar)
